對于加工好的成品飾面石材，其質量好壞可以從以下四個方面來鑒別：
      一觀，即肉眼觀察石材的表面結構。一般來說，均勻的細料結構的石材具 有細膩的質感，為石材之佳品；粗粒及不等粒結構的石材其外觀效果較差。另 外，石材由于地質作用的影響常在其中產(chǎn)生一些細微裂縫，石材最易沿這些部 位發(fā)生破裂，應注意剔除。至于缺棱角更是影響美觀，選擇時尤應注意。
      二量，即量石材的尺寸規(guī)格，以免影響拼接，或造成拼接后的圖案、花紋 、線條變形，影響裝飾效果。
      三聽，即聽石材的敲擊聲音。一般而言，質量好的石材其敲擊聲清脆悅耳 ；相反，若石材內(nèi)部存在輕微裂隙或因風化導致顆粒間接觸變松，則敲擊聲粗 啞。
      四試，即用簡單的試驗方法來檢驗石材的質量好壞。通常在石材的背面滴 上一小粒墨水，如墨水很快四處分散浸出，即表明石材內(nèi)部顆粒松動或存在縫 隙，石材質量不好；反之，若墨水滴在原地不動，則說明石材質地好。
